Navigator                   3.3 Data Reduction For both the Data Reduction Settings as well as the streaming video once the tank is in motion, this frame displays the color reduced version of the camera output. The rules for color reduction are taken straight from the Color Chooser. This frame has no functionality by itself. It merely displays data reduced images. Figure 1.5: Data Reduction Frame 3.4 Network Interface This frame connects the Java interface via the ethernet to another Java interface (Sentinel Java Interface), which is then connected to the Z80 processor via the Parallel Port. The network frame allows the operator to enter IP address and port number of the Sentinel Java Interface. Commands/decisions are then sent over the network, followed by a wait for an acknowledge signal (ACK), which then prompts for the next command/decision.
