1. How to read the time
The flashing yellow circle indicates the seconds, where bright yellow represents even and dark yellow represents odd numbers. |
The first row from the top consists of 4 red fillets, each of which represents 5 hours. Multiply 5 by the number of lit fillets ( = H5) |
The second row from the top consists of 4 more red fillets, each of which represents 1 hour. Add the number of lit fillets to H5 from above. This is the number of hours (in 24h system). |
The second row from the bottom consists of 11 red and yellow fillets, each of which represents 5 minutes. Red fillets mark 15 minute intervals. Multiply 5 by the number of lit fillets, irrespective of red or yellow ( = M5) |
The bottom row consists of 4 red fillets, each of which represents 1 minutes. Add the number of lit fillets to M5 from above. This is the number of minutes. |
The original full-sized Set Theory Clock (Mengenlehre Uhr) is located at the Europa Center (Wittenbergplatz), Berlin, Germany.
